Facebook bows to user feedback on redesign by Andy Carter

Facebook has said that it will implement a number of changes to its homepage following user feedback on the original redesign earlier this month.
Facebook is responding to user feedback on its new homepage design by making further changes to the site.
In a blog post, Chris Cox, director of product at Facebook, said that the social network will make the real-time stream on members' homepages display a wider variety of items rather than status updates.
It will also add live updating to the feed and make it easier for users to control the content of the stream and to find their apps and other services.
Facebook received thousands of negative comments about the original revamp - which saw the addition of the live stream and a new Highlights bar, among other features - on its blog following its launch.
Furthermore, over 1.7 million people have joined a group named Petition Against The New Facebook.
"Redesigns are generally hard to manage, in part because change is always hard and in part because we may miss improvements that any individual user may like to see," Mr Cox stated.
Andy Beal of Marketing Pilgrim has suggested that the latest changes may be relatively minor and unlikely to derail Facebook from the original intend behind the overall redesign.
