Internet Advertising needs to be Focussed on its Target Audience and Stimulate Debate

T-Mobile customers in the US will soon find they are using Google to browse the internet, it has been announced.

Bosses at the telecoms giant have revealed that Google will replace the existing service offered by Yahoo!, marking the end of a deal between the two firms.

Some facilities offered by Yahoo!, however, will continue to operate, including its mail and messaging services.

Nonetheless, mobile phone customers on the network will now find that their search engine has been replaced by Google, which is the case for smartphone and non-smartphone customers alike.

Yahoo! said in a statement: "Mobile is a key priority for Yahoo, as we are at the forefront of innovation and the development of personally relevant Internet experiences for consumers globally."

The company also acknowledged that its other partnerships would continue, including that with O2 which was recently announced in Germany.

Figures from pingdom show that around 7.2 billion Google pages are accessed every day, making it the number one ranked site in the world.

It receives around 620 million visitors on a daily basis, with 270,000 words a minute written using its blog service.
