IE8 to offer private web browsing capabilities

Microsoft has revealed that the upcoming Internet Explorer (IE) 8 will feature the ability to browse the web privately, internet consultants may be interested to read.
The InPrivate mode, when turned on, allows users to stop the browser from storing private data such as passwords, new cookies, form data, URLs and search queries temporarily.
In addition, new history entries and temporary internet files will not be kept on the computer after the session has ended, Microsoft program manager Andy Zeigler said in a blog post.
He explained that the new feature may be beneficial for people using public computers, such as those in internet cafes, as well as those who share a PC at home and want to hide their activity from others for the purpose of buying a surprise gift, for example.
Mr Zeigler stated: "With respect to privacy, IE8 gives users more choice about controlling what information they keep and exchange."
Web designers and developers can currently access IE8 in beta format from the Microsoft website. Other features of the new browser include the ability to connect with other internet services straight from web pages and improved security.
