Link Building is so important to Ranking - Why aren't there better Tools available?

Link building is "crucial" to the success of search engine optimisation (SEO) providers plans for websites, according to a software company.

SEO is also not likely to succeed without link building, claims WordStream director of marketing Tom Demers.

He explained that internet consultants require a lot of talent to make SEO and link building work effectively for a website.

Mr Demers added: "The tool sets available for the link builder and anyone researching keywords are still relatively immature, meaning there is a lot of redundant, mundane labour associated with each."

Search engine marketing is becoming an increasingly important part of companies' marketing spend, according to recent figures from the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organisation (SEMPO).

SEMPO research indicates that nearly half of companies are reallocating budgets to search engine marketing from print advertising.

The research also highlights that Google remains the dominant search engine, with 97 per cent of companies paying to advertise through AdWords, the search giant's flagship advertising product.

Experian Hitwise announced that Google accounted for 69.97 per cent of all US searches in the four weeks to March 27th.

Yahoo! Search received the next highest level of traffic, with 15.04 per cent.
