Orange claims it will be good for Advertisers and their Customers
Mobile network Orange has introduced a new advertising service to help internet marketing consultants and brands interact and engage with its customers.
Due to come into effect on February 1st, Orange Shots will provide companies with the ability to use text and picture messaging to target consumers and is to be made available to those wishing to attract an audience of 100,000.
As part of the deal, clients using Orange's Pay As You Go Monkey service will be in receipt of offers and other products from firms deemed relevant to them.
"Orange Shots will transform mobile advertising as we know it," vice-president of wholesale, business development and partnerships with Orange UK Marc Overton remarked.
He continued, saying that this development is a "win-win for brands, as well as our customers", as advertisers are looking for innovative approaches to user engagement and the public are "rewarded" by accessing interactive and exclusive content that is "tailored specifically" to their interests.
And marketing consultants and others will profit from the service, as they will be able to conduct conversations with people wishing to hear from them and witness good returns on investment and response rates.
Meanwhile, those interested in debating the issue of connectivity in the UK were able to attend an Orange-hosted event, in conjunction with London Transport Museum, which took place on February 3rd.
