Facebook currently has 400 million registered users and receives 39 billion page views per month. There are only 5 advertisers currently using Facebook for every 100 advertisers using Google Adwords. Facebook has only recently opened up many of its pages for search ranking - this opens up the possibility of your adverts in Facebook being seen by general web searchers as well as people browsing Facebook.
