Living Streams has participated in Bucks New University's Enterprise weeks for the past two years. Last year, Tony Thornby was one of the judges for the Xing team based Dragon's den type exercise.
This year, the event has developed into the Enterprise Festival and one of the competitions is a three stage Apprentice Challenge. Living Streams is sponsoring one of the teams. 'Big Bang', in this.
Fifteen teams start challenge 1, nine teams start start challenge 2 and three teams will begin challenge3.
Challenge 1 Selling doughnuts in the centre of High Wycombe
Each team given £50 from their sponsor
Teams may source and sell their doughnuts however they like
The nine teams with the highest profit will then go forward to the second challenge
Challenge 2 The overall task is to make the most profit from selling merchandise on a stall situated in Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe
Nine teams present their ideas to the Eden Centre management
Six teams will be selected to go forward to actually set up and run their market stalls
Each team will have their own market stall
These teams will be provided with an additional £200
The three teams with the highest profit will progress to the third and final challenge
Challenge 3 The third challenge is to stage an event.
First all three teams will present their plan for the event to the student union events team who will select the two finalists
Finalists stage their events simultaneously in the two venues of the Student Union on the Queen Alexandra Road campus
The winning team will be the one that has made the most money over all three challenges
