Google has added a range of new features to its Insights for Search feature, something that may interest internet consultants looking to collect analytics data from the search engine.
It has introduced a forecasting option for some of its most popular queries, which gives users an answer based on historical data and search patterns.
The internet company has also added a new animated map that enables users to gauge how interest in specific topics changes over time in various locations around the world.
As well as this, the service is now available in 39 languages.
"Looking at search trends helps you understand when, where and how the world's interests have changed," chief economist Hal Varian and head of Google's Israel research and development centre Yossi Matias said in a blog post.
The pair explained that typing in search terms show data such as how query volumes have changed over time, where interest is greatest and related searchers that internet users also carry out.
Earlier this month, Google unveiled changes to its search infrastructure technology.
Known as caffeine, the upgrade is expected to be beneficial to power users and web developers.
