Ask.com has announced it is stepping up the rollout of its new Domain Nav feature, which is similar to Google's sitelinks.
Domain Nav offers links to specific pages for the number one website in Ask.com's organic listings underneath the main URL, depending on the nature of the original search.
The new feature may help web users to get to the information they are looking for more quickly, senior software engineer Ben Kao said in a post on the Ask.com blog.
He also suggested that Domain Nav helps web users to avoid "the darker side of the web" by only displaying trusted links.
Domain Nav first underwent beta testing in December 2008. According to Mr Kao, measurements from the tests "showed that our searchers found it useful and enhanced their overall search experience".
Earlier this month, Ask.com announced that it is bringing its Ask Jeeves brand for the UK out of retirement.
The brand, which saw web users ask Jeeves the butler questions about the topic they wanted to search for, was first introduced in the late 1990s and was shelved in 2006.
However, Ask.com said that a user survey showed a number of consumers wanted to see the butler return to improve their search experience.
