For internet advertising that pays in the face of rising competition, you need support from specialist internet marketing company
Businesses may look towards internet marketing consultants to drive their increased budgets for 2010, new research has suggested.
The latest IPA/BDO Bellwether survey, published today (January 18th), showed that while expenditure fell in the sector in the fourth quarter of 2009, enterprises were more confident than they have been for nearly five years.
And industry professionals may be encouraged to hear that online advertising spend was revised upwards for the second quarter in a row.
Commenting on the statistics, the head of media at accountancy network BDO - which has more than 1,000 offices worldwide - said the results "are good news" for marketing specialists.
Andy Viner remarked: "Marketing budgets in 2010 are now set to grow, with companies re-thinking their budget allocation, for example, the spend in areas such as online advertising are due to increase significantly."
According to Mr Viner, as the year progresses companies will hope to explore advertising avenues that boost cost-effectiveness, increase traffic to websites and can be measured in terms of a return on investment.
The rate of decline in marketing seen during the recession looks to be coming to an end, he added.
