Engagement Increases in importance as Customers insist on Ordering rather than Being Sold to
A list of the ten most engaging UK brands from a consumer's perspective has been compiled, with technology companies featuring heavily in the rundown.
Conducted by Hall & Partners, the poll was created via the firm's Engager - a tool that monitors how people connect with organisations, while exploring their conscious and unconscious emotional and cognitive reactions to businesses.
Computer conglomerate Google came first in the rankings, while the BBC followed in fourth and Sony and Microsoft took seventh and eighth places respectively.
Chief executive of Hall & Partners Vanella Jackson commented on the strong presence of such enterprises in the list, saying: "By their very nature they facilitate greater participation, which is key to building strong, longer-lasting brand relationships."
However, the second spot in the register was taken by Cadbury and internet marketing consultants and others may like to refer to their ad campaigns, which were described by Ms Jackson as being "highly engaging", reinforcing "a very strong emotional connection" that has helped establish it as "one of Britain's best-loved brands".
Hall & Partners markets itself as a specialist communications research company that offers brand planning assistance, operating on a worldwide basis, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, London and Chicago.
