Supporting Bucks New University as part of our CSR
This year's Enterprise Festival involvement
Living Streams is pleased to announce its increased support for Bucks New University in 2011 - with Enterprise Festival sponsorship of the Sales and Marketing day (Wednesday 2nd November) and the digital idea competition.
Living Streams owner, Tony Thornby, will also be assisting students taking part in the various Enterprise festival challenges by giving a digital marketing workshop, from noon until 1pm on 2nd November in Owen Building 1.
Historic Community Social Responsibility
Living Streams has always had a community social responsibility (CSR) policy which includes supporting local education. For its first 3 years this primarily consisted of funding road safety booklets for primary schools and drug / alcohol abuse booklets for secondary schools. But Bucks New University has become a stronger and stronger focus over the past 4 years.
When the University first started its consultancy unit, Living Streams took part in joint internet marketing seminars with the unit and gave social media talks to students on a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) course being run by the University.
Then four years ago Living Streams owner, Tony Thornby, started to personally participate in the Enterprise Festival - initially started in the Xing (Dragon's Den like competition). In 2009 and 2010, one of the Apprentice Challenge teams was sponsored.
