Several of the mobile apps and services that have been developed by third parties using the Google Analytics Data Export application programming interface (API) have been highlighted by Google.
The API was first unveiled by the search engine in April this year, allowing developers to create apps that allow marketers to export Analytics data for use in a variety of settings.
According to Google, the Mobile GA app by Actual Metrics is a must for Android users looking to access their Analytics data on the go, as are the Analytics App, Google Analytics for iPhone and Ego App iPhone offerings.
"With [the] recent launch of the Google Analytics Data Export API, Google Analytics data is starting to show up in some new places," Nick Mihailovski of the Google Analytics API team said on the Google Analytics blog.
The Google Analytics Data Export API can additionally be used to make data available for viewing by people other than the marketer in charge of the Google Analytics account.
All data exported by apps made with the API is accessible in read-only format.
The API uses the same protocol as the APIs available for Google Calendar, Finance and Webmaster Tools.
